One of my fav spots! Amazing food, amazing drinks, and even better service. Truly reccomend it to anyone I know.

I went to Lee for a work team dinner last night & loved it! The portions are perfect for sharing, so I would recommend going with a group so you can maximize trying as many things on the menu as possible. We picked out a couple of dishes that we definitely wanted to try & then had the waitress fill out the rest of our order to eat family style with her favorites. The standouts in my opinion were the slaw, rice rolls with shrimp, & black cod. The only dish I would have subbed out was the duck as the meat was unfortunately fairly dry - which pains me to say because it is usually my favorite protein! Overall, though, the food was delicious & beautifully presented. The fabulous dish presentations matched the swanky ambiance of the restaurant. Lee also has a nice wine list (a pretty large by the glass selection is always great!). Finally, the servers paced our dishes perfectly (which was probably difficult because we ordered a lot!). I would highly recommend checking out Lee's if you're in Toronto - especially with a group! Food: A- Drinks: B+ Ambiance: A Service: A-

Fantastic experience. We got the semi-private seatting, which was a bit more seperared from the main dinning hall. The ambiance was really nice, elegant and classy. The food: The Singapore slaw really lived up to the hype. We added the king salmon to the slaw, it was delicious. The texture and flavour of all the 24 ingredients mixed together created a crunchy, savoury yet refreshing experience. Outlr server told us all the 24 ingredients in the slaw. The slow braised Malaysian curry beef was my second favorite dish, the beef was super tender and juicy, the curry was well done. The cheeseburger spring rolls were novel but I didn't find it that great compared to the other dishes. The lobster and red shrimp pad Thai and the black cod was alright, I don't think I would get it again.

I've been to this restaurant twice now, and both times were amazing. The food is great, highly recommend the beef curry and roasted chicken, and their deserts are all great. Service is fantastic and explains everything about each dish, and they bring you fresh plates and cutlery with every round of dishes. The atmosphere and ambiance is great aside from being a bit too dim. I think this is intentional and seems to fit for people going on dates. Overall epic place, but a tad expensive (100$ per person is the least you can get away with)

Lee: A Creative Take on Southeast Asian Street Food Stepping into Lee, you're greeted by a spacious, multi-level dining space with a sleek, modern design. Each table is adorned with a small potted plant and an adjustable table lamp, adding a cozy yet stylish touch. A friend of mine, arriving late, jokingly asked if the plant was edible--a lighthearted moment that reflected the restaurant's inviting atmosphere. The service was outstanding: warm, engaging, and full of personality, making it one of the best service experiences I've had. It reminded me of The Chase--where enthusiasm replaces routine, and you can truly feel the restaurant's dedication. Food Review Dim Sum Chicken Siu Mai Served on a pineapple-infused fruit sauce and wrapped in a layer of crispy rice paper, this siu mai was more about texture than flavor. While creative in presentation, it didn't leave much of a lasting impression. Homemade Broccoli Tofu Tempura With a light, crisp coating, this tempura felt more like deep-fried stinky tofu in technique rather than traditional tempura. Topped with seasoned cabbage and served with a spicy sauce, most of the flavor came from the sauce itself. Octopus Carpaccio The thinly sliced octopus and sauce didn't quite complement each other on their own, but once paired with the crispy shrimp cracker, something magical happened. The contrast between the octopus' tenderness and the cracker's crunch, along with the interplay of sweet-sour sauce and umami-rich shrimp, created an unexpectedly harmonious bite. Pad Thai This version of Pad Thai came wrapped in a delicate egg omelet, making it look deceptively small. But once the egg casing was cut open, the noodles and ingredients spilled out in abundance--like uncorking a flood of flavors. Reminiscent of their signature salad, the dish was generously portioned and packed with the essential elements of a classic Pad Thai. The sweetness was within an acceptable range, and overall, it felt like an upgraded, "all-in" version of a traditional street-style Pad Thai. Penang-Style Shrimp Ravioli The shrimp filling had a texture similar to shrimp paste, encased in delicate wrappers and served with a tangy-sweet Penang-style sauce. A well-balanced dish for those who enjoy the interplay of acidity and umami. Slow-Braised Malaysian Curry Beef A rich and aromatic curry infused with coconut milk, this dish featured tender, slow-braised beef that absorbed the deep spice flavors beautifully. Indian paneer and yogurt helped temper the heat, while the sweet mashed potatoes provided a lovely contrast. The only weak link was the eggplant, which didn't absorb much flavor and felt unnecessary. The dish delivered a bold, Thai-style spiciness with plenty of layered spices. Desserts Chocolate & Banana Fritter Crispy batter enveloped a luscious chocolate-banana filling, with the banana flavor standing out the most. The soft, slightly stretchy texture of the filling was satisfying, and the dish was complemented by coconut ice cream. Warm Chocolate Cake with Wild Blueberries The tiny wild blueberries balanced out the banana caramel sauce beautifully, while the vanilla ice cream added a classic finishing touch. Warm Normandy-Style Apple Tart The apple tart had a surprising tartness, reminiscent of hawthorn berries. Among the three desserts, this was the sweetest, but the accompanying lemon ice cream provided a refreshing contrast, making for an intriguing flavor combination. Overall Impression Lee stands out for its creative reinventions of familiar Southeast Asian dishes, elevating street food classics with innovative twists. However, the menu leans heavily toward Thai-inspired sweet and sour flavors, which, while individually enjoyable, can feel repetitive when sampled back-to-back. Instead of offering distinct, standalone flavor experiences, each dish builds upon the previous one, creating a sense of flavor overlap. On the plus side, portion sizes are exceptionally generous--something the staff even joked about, claiming they serve larger portions than other Winterlicious restaurants. Overall, it was a thoroughly enjoyable experience, and I'd highly recommend giving it a try.

I'd rate 4.5 if I could. I had been waiting to try this resto for a long time and finally made a visit for my husband's birthday dinner. The resto is located in the heart of Toronto and is very spacious. We were warmly welcomed at the entrance. A host and servers were all pleasant and well trained. We ordered their signature dish called Singapore slaw with tuna, black cod and French and Chinese Tong Yuen for dessert. All the dishes were delicious and nicely presented. Price for each dish is high but portion is big.

After years of wanting to visit Lee, I finally did. Our experience was interesting. The food was delicious but on the expensive side. Portions were tiny but I guess that's to be expected at a restaurant of this caliber. Towards the end of our plate of Singaporean slaw my friend noticed a hair in her plate. We showed it to our server who said "are we sure this came in the food and it wasn't one of ours" as if to imply we would have purposely put a hair in our food. This was extremely disappointing. I would expect the servers to be a lot more professional at a restaurant. Our server dampened the mood a little by saying something so distasteful when we were just trying to have a fun night and enjoy our dinner. The slaw was amazing despite the hair in it and the pad Thai was pretty much what you would get at any other Thai restaurant. The drinks were delicious and so was all the food but aside from the slaw and spring rolls, I wouldn't say anything stood out to be exceptional. Aside from the hick up we had with our service the food and service were wonderful and definitely a place worth trying.

Visited Lee for the first time after their relocation. Food, as usual was amazing - we got Lee's signature salad, black cod and some special menu (mapa tofu gnocchi). My sister and I wanted somewhat private spot and they gave us a lover's seats at the corner which could be romantic if two lovers come haha. Service was exceptional and it was very lively yet classic ambiance. Only comparison I would make between old Lee and current Lee is that the food is becoming less quantity and way too expensive for what we get. If it's getting more creative or more delicious, I wouldn't mind the cost but just adding one more ingredient each year that we can't really notice in the salad doesn't really do much for me. It almost feels forced for the sake of the concept. Hope I get to see some new good stuff next time I visit.

What a beautiful experience! I haven't been to this new location since it opened. I was floored at how big it is and how beautiful it is. We have reservations and so we were seated quite quickly. Our server explained to us the holiday special drink, and we were both intrigued so we got it. Of course we had the slaw. I have to say it's not as great as I remember it, but it was decent. The food we had was all vegetarian, and it was insanely flavourful.

Party of 2 for a Birthday dinner on Sat @ 5:30pm Nov 2024. The restaurant is located on a very quiet section of Richmond St. We were immediately greeted upon entering the restaurant and were offered coat service which we declined. The overall service was fantastic, as expected. Our table was near the back of the restaurant and had low banquette seating on the inside and side and chair on the outside. This was really nice as we were able to place all our bags (a little pre-dinner shopping) and coats on the side out of the way. Next a server came by and took our drink order. Afterwards our main server came by and introduced the menu and advised there was a tasting menu, which we immediately ordered. There were 7 courses in total: Potato & Leek Soup, Baked Sunseeker Oyster, Signature Singapore Style Slaw, Lobster & Shrimp Al Nero Dumpling, Palate Cleanser, Seared Alberta Steak with Asian Spiced Braised Beef Agnolotti, Desert Trio (Double Chocolate Meringue & Mouse Rum Cake, Seakbuckthorn Gelle with Dragon Fruit, Warm Apple & Rhubarb Tart). Each dish was superb and such an experience in flavours. Our favourites were the first 4 dishes. The Singapore Style Slaw was amazing, the combination of so many different fresh ingredients and textures; the best salad I've every had. We will definitely come back in the future to try some of their other signature plates.
